Leadership

The College values the contributions to leadership that students of all ages can make during their schooling and recognises that there are many different ways our young people can exercise the leadership talents that God has bestowed upon them. The College is committed to providing a pathway for developing leaders to grow and use their gifts for the benefit of the College community through a comprehensive program that provides support, training, and education in leadership skills through all Stages of schooling. The program grows leadership capacity and recognises leadership gifts, providing opportunities for students to lead and to serve in an area of their choosing and passion.

Primary Years

Students throughout their Primary years are encouraged to take opportunities to lead others, whether in small class groups, sports teams or special events. At the end of Year 5, students have the opportunity to apply for leadership positions. Year 6 students form the Primary Years leadership team. The team meets together throughout the year to plan and coordinate student-led initiatives. Each student leader undertakes a specific portfolio including Primary Years Captain, Vice Captain, Prefect, House Captain, Ministry 4 Kids, Technology, Environment and Community.

Formal opportunities exist at student-led forums and in the support of specific portfolios led by senior students.

Senior Years

At the beginning of Year 11 students have the opportunity to apply to be included in the Student Leadership training group.
